Street Art: Live your Dream

Live Your Dream, Bowery & Spring, Manhattan, NYC, USA

OK, so this is technically not street art. It's good old graffiti. But I still love it because of the message. It was on the Germania Bank building at 190 Bowery which has been a graffiti and street art covered private residence for years.

Street Art: Old Woman

Old Woman, Bowery & Spring, New York City, USA

190 Bowery is an interesting building. The Germania bank was built around 1890 and has been a graffiti and street art covered private residence for years. It's just been sold and will probably be turned into condos in the near future. The graffiti and street art on this building are incredible - especially if you move in close and focus on detail, like this old women's face.

Street Art: Surfer

Surfer, Leonardo, NJ, USA

About 15 crow-miles from Manhattan on the northern tip of the Jersey shore, lies the tiny little village of Leonardo. The only thing really happening in Leonardo is the Henry Hudson Trail that runs between town and highway 36. It's a beautiful shaded trail if you're into biking or walking. This sufer dude was spotted on the wall of the New Jersey Coffee Roaster's shop. Fun surfboard with the little white and yellow daisies.

Street artists Revok & Pose's Mural on the Bowery Graffitti Wall, 2013. The mural's been replaced but is a bit on the controversial side as the artists are suing Roberto Cavalli for using some of the images without permission in a clothing line. Graffitti has indeed come a long way.
