This mural of the vintage V-J Day Kiss picture (shot in Time Square in 1945) can be seen on 25th Street and 10th Avenue on the the not-to-be-missed-if-you're-in-NY Highline - a public park built on an old freight rail line. The mural is by Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra.
"Trapartis to make something out of nothing with dedication and humble beginnings." ~ Tonyconcep. Fine specimen can be seen at 190 Boweryin Manhattan. Not for long though as the building was sold recently and might be transformed into condos.
Interesting street art on Bar Nana's entrance on Gansevoort Street, Manhattan. The style inside the club, which combines South American and French influences, is worlds away from the entrance.
190 Bowery is an interesting building. The Germania bank was built around 1890 and has been a graffiti and street art covered private residence for years. It's just been sold and will probably be turned into condos in the near future. The graffiti and street art on this building are incredible - especially if you move in close and focus on detail, like this old women's face.
Wheatpaste street art by Shephard Fairey, (the artist behind the "Hope" Barack Obama poster and one of the most influencial street artists today) on the corner of Wooster and Grand in Soho.
Art is wrapped around NYC watertanks to foster environmental awareness and social advocacy. A beautiful idea! These two tanks can be seen from the High Line in Chelsea (around 29th Street and 10th Avenue). There are a few more around the city and hopefully many more to come.
Quebec City is one of my favorite places to visit. It also has an interesting collection of Street Art. I found this expressive face under the overpass of Of Highway 440 and Boulevard Charest in the Saint-Roch district.
